Lockdown 3

How has the new lockdown affected your ability to buy or sell a property?

Can I buy or sell a house in lockdown?

Yes – you can still view properties, but it is advised to have virtual viewings/appointments when possible

If you do view a property or let a potential buyer visit your home face masks should be worn and social distancing should be adhered to

If you are viewing properties be sure to use our property viewing checklist to help you remember everything your looking for

Can I move during lockdown?

Yes - you can still move home. People outside your household or support bubble should not help with moving unless absolutely necessary.

Mortgage lenders have been increasing the amount of valuations that can be done remotely. This means that when you buy a new home there is a chance it will not be visited by a valuer. People often like to get the opinion of a third party regarding the property value/standard. You my need to arrange for an independent survey report to be carried at an extra cost if you wanted the extra peace of mind

Lenders will be taking longer to process applications but we are here to help find the right lender for your circumstances and make the process as smooth as possible.

Your home maybe repossessed if you do not keep up to date with your mortgage payments

Stay safe and take care
